Healthwatch Brighton and Hove Annual Performance Report 2024/25 (1st April 2024 and 31st March 2025)

Headlines:

• Reappointed to deliver the Healthwatch contract for the city.
• Won a national impact award for one of our projects and shortlisted for a second.
• Gathered patient opinions on vaping among children, earwax services, hypertension, digital services and dementia.
• Escalated issues including about temporary accommodation, memory assessment services, hospital discharge and GP services.
• Ran monthly polls on subjects including pharmacy, hospital discharge and dentistry.
• We received 228 information line enquiries between April 1st and March 31sth 2025
• Attended or hosted 11 events, engaging with over 250 people
• Publicised 16 events.
• Carried out two Enter & Views and PLACE.
• Published 40 reports, engaging 2,500 people, and producing 112 recommendations.
• Published our statutory Annual Report.
• Ran a biannual stakeholder survey in 2024 to provide performance feedback.
• Produced 10 newsletters and 25 bulletins.
• Attended 55 Board-level meetings.
• Attended 392 decision-making meetings (excluding Board).
• Held four public Board meetings.
• Received 21,0000 website page views.
• Published over 350 social media posts
• Published a work plan of our projects.
