Healthwatch Brighton and Hove Annual Performance Report 2023 (1st April 2022 and 31st March 2023)

Headlines:

• Showcased issues including access to GP appointments and NHS dentists
• Received 240 information line enquiries with the main area being making a complaint about any health or social care service or treatment, followed by enquiries about accessing dentists including NHS treatment availability.
• Held three Public Panel meetings to feedback on our work and hear people’s priorities to inform our work plan.
• 17 reports published, engaging 1560 people, and producing 34 recommendations.
• 56 newsletters produced
• 120 Board meetings attended
• 982 decision-making meetings attended (excluding Board)
• Healthwatch Brighton and Hove led the organisation of a ‘Healthwatch, NHS and local people in collaboration: Southeast Regional Conference’ on 28th June 2022, alongside other local Healthwatch partners in East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Kent and Medway. 65 people attended.

• Presentation of our current and future work possibilities up until April 1^st 2023.
