University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust has developed an overarching improvement plan that brings together a range of new and established programmes designed to improve the quality, safety, governance and leadership of services across the Trust. Read more.
Some of these areas of focus are about bringing together predecessor organisations and setting the new trust up for success (e.g. culture). Some are long-standing issues that the Trust still need to resolve (e.g. emergency care and access to surgery). Others are things identified by regulators and staff feedback (e.g. leadership and EDI).

Making these improvements will ensure the Trust are meeting patients’ needs in the immediate term and giving everyone – patients, staff, and our partners – the confidence that they are building the strong foundations for the organisation to progress towards their longer-term goals of providing excellent care every time.
