About this event

Healthwatch Brighton and Hove invites you to join us at a workshop to explore how people and communities can work together with primary care, building on the successful relationships that already exist.

We would like your help to co-design best practice information about how People and Communities can work together with primary care services (which include GP practices and primary care networks).

In joining this event, you will be working alongside representatives of GP Practices, Primary Care Networks (PCNs), Patient Participant Groups, other local voluntary and community groups and patients from across Brighton and Hove.

  • A PCN is where a group of GP practices work together with community, mental health, social care, pharmacy, hospital and voluntary services in their local area to meet the needs of local people.
  • A PPG consists of patients who wish to be involved in the local practice whilst taking an active role in developing local health services.

We believe that by pooling people’s knowledge and skills, we can create resources which can help to ensure that the voice of people and communities are at the heart of Primary Care Services.

The event will include guest speakers talking about:

- The importance of working with people and communities in primary

- How are patients and the public represented and involved in their care

We invite representation from Primary Care Teams, Patient Participation Groups, voluntary and community organisations, patients, carers and the general public.

Please note that your registration will be confirmed after you have booked. We want to ensure we have equal representation from different groups. We will also create a reserve list in case people subsequently drop out.

Light refreshments will be available at the beginning of the event.
